Where hiking turns into pure joy – in the Dolomites

Our hiking tips on Seiser Alm: follow the Geologists’ Path near Seis or the Farm Trail in Aicha. On a hot summer day, visit the little Lake of Völs for a refreshing plunge or simply take in the peaceful and idyllic ambience by the lakeshore. Do not forget to stop at one of the rustic alpine cottages and traditional inns and to sample the freshly prepared traditional delicacies, before heading back home to our feel-good apartments at Moarlhof.

The nature park Schlern-Rosengarten is situated on the territory of Kastelruth, Tiers and Völs am Schlern. Together with the protected nature reign of Seiser Alm, Tschamin valley and Rosengarten, it offers an immensely diverse habitat for numerous animals and plants covering approx. 6.8 ha. Bird watchers can be sure to spot woodpeckers, howls, crossbills, willow tits or alpine choughs. When on Seiser Alm, look out for the highly praised show of flowers.   • Puflatsch Round Trail (Seiser Alm)

  • Schlern Peak Tour (from Compatsch, Seiser Alm)

    This iconic tour takes you to the Schlern plateau, the symbol of South Tyrol, with breathtaking views.
  • Hike to Tierser Alpl (from Seiser Alm)

    : 12 km, approx. 5 hours, moderate
    A popular hike with marvellous views of the Dolomites, which leads to the idyllic Tierser-Alpl lodge.
  • Round Trail Panider Sattel (Kastelruth)
